Project Grants – Performing Arts & Music
Overview / Purpose
The Project Grants for Performing Arts and Music supports independent artists at all stages of the development of new work, its production or presentation. This may include research, creative writing, dramaturgy, creative development, rehearsal, making work for exhibition, as well as performances, concerts, events and presentation within festivals. Assistance is also available for touring and expansion of markets, for new or existing work, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Who can apply
Individual artists are eligible to apply.
Assessment Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on the following:
- Information provided for the proposed project.
- The professional status of the individual or group.
- The artform in which your application is focused.
- Capacity for the project to use a community cultural development process.
All applicants must submit:
- A concise one-page project description.
- A more thorough artistic statement.
- Artistic documentation, such as project outlines, manuscripts, drafts, etc.
- Short biographical information on all artists and creative personnel involved in the project.
- Letters of support and confirmation of activities associated with the project.
- Any additional documentation you consider important.
